Nice smalley! Congratlations of her first. Also for making the sniffer. Been doing alot of catfishing and carp fishing lately. Haven't been up to the mountains as not working for the time being. Money is tight. Hope to go soon. Well you hang in there and keep in touch. Bob |

Hi Chris,
Sorry I'm so late to reply here. I am finally catching up on some of my messages here. Work has been crazy these past couple weeks, so I just havent been able to put time to CA Fish Finder. I'm glad you have been enjoying the new features. Great picture of your daughter on the cover of Cali Fishing Mag!
In terms of tracking friends on the site, if you refer them through the link on the Tackle Box-->Refer Friend, you should be able to see who has accepted and signed up for the site. If you referred via word of mouth, I would just search for them on the Anglers tab to see if they are there. THen just invite them to be your friend. On your My Profile page, there is a link below your Friends section that you can click to see who has not yet accepted your invites. Let me know if that makes sense. I will try and make the friend feature more user friendly so to speak in the future.
Thanks,
Dave O |

Hi All,
This is just me testing out the send group message functionality. Its been a while since Ive sent out a group message, and I want to test out a fix I just made to the functionality to ensure prompt message delivery and email alerts. Everything should be working perfect now.
Also, for those who havent visited the site in a while, be sure to check out some of the cool new features like:
- Printing Topo Maps from the Map Tab - View Birds Eye Imagery under certain location details - The ability to blog and fully customize your profile. - Add recipes and comments for fish species. - "Watch" trips, locations, and species to see when users review or comment.
Expect many new features coming to the site soon!
Tight Lines,
Dave O |

Well you opened a can of worms for me. I have an opinion regarding the issue, and that is WHY the Salmon? If they would place a bounty on the Seals and kumerrans (fish ducks) who take only the roe and young smolt, then I would not have a problem with the closure. I know that it is necessary for the Pacific Salmon to spawn in order to hopefully retain our resources. But they (the Politicians and Enviormentalist) don't see it in the manner you and I see things, We are not just after the sport, but to place a well needed meal on our plates. The commercial fisheries are needed to retain the supply and demand of the consumer, but when the commercial fisherman sells the Salmon and the Government send the profits out to foriegn personel. I have a problem. If we have a closure on the river system it effects us all. We are fishermen and not retailers. The seals aern't too bad with the salmon that comes up the river system, but the kumerrans are. There were over 100,000 tagged salmon and stealhead found on a sand bar up north. All of these salmon and stealhead where killed by these birds. Need to do something about it. Well enough of that for now. How's the stripper fishing doing on the Sac? I can't wait until I go the lakes for the Kokanee. |
